These are some pictures of the project I organized earlier this year to support YWCA-Agvvik. The items were shipped to Iqaluit, Nunavut to support women in the shelter. They have various outreach programs.
I have worked with my schools social impact club to get started and we brainstormed different organizations and ideas for what events we could do. We decided to chose this because we are aware of how numerous communities up north are impacted more severely by climate change and resource insecurity. we wanted to support them in all ways possible!
I learned about how numerous communities up north are impacted more severely by climate change this summer when I took the our people our climate e-learning course from the government of Canada's funded program to educate youth about climate impacts.
