Isabella Tao & Grace Gong are Co-founders of The Youth180 Website. We aim to provide insightful advice and provide updates on opportunities for youth, by youth! 

 

 Isabella Tao is a Grade 12 student at Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute. She is a strong advocate for youth engagement. She enjoys various sports such as dance, wrestling, and skating. Additionally, she has participated in her school’s DECA club and strength and flexibility club. Outside of school, she is the logistics director for Youth Bioethics Initiative and an ambassador for The Global Spotlight Foundation. This year, she hopes to start an exercise or kinesiology club at her high school to encourage healthy lifestyles, give exercise tips, and educate her peers on how exercise can affect their mental health. In the future, she aspires to own a physiotherapy clinic.

 

 

 Grace Gong is passionate about writing and promoting youth representation. She hopes to make a change and educate youth about different issues!

Her to you: Believe in yourself, because no one else will be able to replace your value and self-worth. I believe that if you put in the work, and do your best, you will have succeeded regardless of the outcome. As a youth, we are told that we expect too much, that we are this and we are that. Ignore that. Ignore the cynicism, because ultimately, you know yourself best. And no one can take that away from you. Please, believe in yourself no matter what people tell you, share and voice your story. Your voice matters and we need more voices like yours to shape and empower the world we see today.

Regardless of the way it may seem at times, No failure will be insurmountable, because a resilient person will not see it as a failure, but as an opportunity to learn. Because the ultimate goal is self-improvement and growth. And when you see yourself grow, that is the best thing.
