Beyond Crisis movie screening
The beyond crisis movie screening was an amazing experience. As an executive at the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance, we helped to promote the event, as well as doing the Q&A session.
I went to the event at 6:15pm to help with setup, and sign ups. Then from 7 to 9 pm the film was shown.

After, we had the Q&A with film director, Kai Reimer-Watts. The audience learned a lot about the importance of action, and how we need to reduce our emissions significantly. He also talked about the importance of the climate movement, and how we need to share our thoughts and use our voice to take active action in our communities.
He emphasizes the importance of Social movements as they are great for pushing significant scale of action, and are thus needed to impact the way that current movements are happening.
His documentary explored a variety of different perspectives and focuses on not only the impacts, but also the solutions and the possibilities for a greener future. This was an uplifting film that not only puts things into perspective, but also has an element of inspiration, and motivation for those who are looking for a place to start. Regardless of how far in the movement you are in, any place is ok. As Long as you put in the effort, the importance is unity, and collective empowerment. Doing things together is a lot better than putting the burden all on yourself. The Q&A was a truly inspiring and eye-opening experience. I have uploaded the Q&A footage onto my youtube channel for anyone who is interested in hearing the full Q&A, I have most of it, however he did speak in the beginning as well addressing questions such as what to do with climate deniers, and etc.,
