Welcome to Youth180. By accessing or using our website, programs, or services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Plain-English note: Youth180 supports mentorship and career development. Nothing in the Services is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

Eligibility

To use Youth180, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old, or have verifiable parental/guardian consent.
  • Provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it updated.
  • Use the Services respectfully and consistently with these Terms and our Code of Conduct.

Accounts & Accuracy

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your login credentials.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Code of Conduct

Help us maintain a positive, inclusive community:

  • Respect time: Give mentors/coaches at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • No solicitation: Do not request jobs, internships, or referrals during sessions.
  • Be prepared: Bring clear goals and thoughtful questions.
  • Be respectful: Communicate with kindness and professionalism.

Violations may result in suspension or termination.

Your Responsibilities

  • Use the Services solely for mentorship and career development.
  • Avoid spam, mass sign-ups, or abusive/inappropriate communications.
  • Attend scheduled sessions or give advance notice if you cannot attend.

Mentor & Coach Responsibilities

Mentors/coaches are volunteers who share experience and guidance. They are not required to:

  • Guarantee job opportunities, interviews, or referrals.
  • Respond outside scheduled sessions.
  • Address topics beyond mentorship/coaching scope.

Mentors/coaches may end a session if guidelines are not respected.

Scheduling, Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Follow any posted scheduling rules or platform-specific policies.
  • Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect access to future sessions.

User Content & License

  • You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., profiles, messages, materials). You grant Youth180 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content solely to operate and improve the Services.
  • Do not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or violates privacy or intellectual-property rights.

Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy (linked on the site). Among other things:

  • We collect only what is necessary to provide the Services.
  • We do not share personal information without consent, except as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You may request deletion of your account or data consistent with our policy and applicable law.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the Services or bypass security.
  • Do not use automated scraping or unauthorized data collection.
  • Do not harass, discriminate, or engage in hateful conduct.

Intellectual Property

All Youth180 materials (text, logos, graphics, UI, and other content) are owned by Youth180 or its licensors and protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

Third-Party Links & Tools

The Services may link to third-party sites or tools. Youth180 does not control or endorse third-party content and is not responsible for it. Use third-party services at your own risk and under their terms.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Youth180 disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Advice shared by mentors/coaches reflects personal experience and is not professional advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Youth180 and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Services.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Youth180 from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms or harmful conduct (including disrespect of mentors/coaches or misuse beyond mentorship purposes). All termination decisions are final.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or platform notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction unless otherwise specified on the site. Venue and jurisdiction will be as provided under applicable law.
